Have you been saved my friend?
Are you even sure of what that means? I know
we Christians throw around a lot of words, that the non-Christian
may not quite understand. To be saved, means essentially
being spared from eternity in Hell. I know, that does not
seem so warm and fuzzy of a topic. However, wouldn't you
rather "get it right" now while you can. It is
better than waiting till you die only to find out you waited too
long. What about your children, have you taught them about
God. As a parent it is your responsibility. But of
course you must know Him first. What do I mean by knowing
Him?
What I am talking about is having a personal
relationship with God. Do you have peace in your life?
I mean real and true peace. The peace that
only God can give. Do you find that there is just something
that isn't quite right in your life perhaps? A deep longing
for more?
But perhaps you say I don't like God, what has He
ever done for me? Or perhaps you say, I am Christian, my
parents raised me as Christian. (be it Catholic, Protestant,
whatever) Saying you are Christian, does not make you so!
Being raised "Christian" won't help. Even if you
were baptized into the faith. It won't save you.
Neither will living a really, really "good" life.
You can't earn your way to heaven by doing nice things.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by
grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The first step in salvation is repenting from your
sins. You might say, there is nothing that bad you have
done. I assure you we all sin. We ALL have something
in our lives that is wrong or unholy. You could argue that
you don't see anything you have done as wrong. However, what
about how God sees you. Will he find you have been so
perfect? No, He will not. The Bible says ALL have come
short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23 For all
have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
To be a real Christian, takes first repentance,
and then acceptance of God. To be able to really and truly
repent means you have to actually believe you are first guilty.
You have to WANT to change. You have to WANT to please God.
Under the Old Testament Scriptures, a blood
sacrifice was required to purify a person from sin. However,
a Messiah was promised who would take fulfill all that.
Jesus Christ is that blood sacrifice. He became that for
you, and for I so that we might be able to be washed clean.
He came to teach us and to show us how to live life. There
is no greater love, than someone willing to actually die for you.
Well Christ did just that. God sent Him, His only Son, so
that you and I might see how MUCH He loves us.
John 3:16 For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.
John
14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the
life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
-
Do you accept that God created you?
-
Are you willing to admit you are a sinner?
-
Are you willing to repent of that?
-
Are you willing to accept Christ's
sacrifice over your life?
-
Are you willing to surrender your life for
Christ?
These are basic questions that all Christian's
must be able to answer a strong and fervent yes to. If you
are able to do that, bow down right now and start talking to God.
Tell Him these things. You don't have to use fancy words,
just talk with Him. Admit your sins, repent of them, and ask
Him into your heart.
Romans
10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with
the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
I will not give you the words you should say,
these words need to come from your heart and be truly sincere.
If you do this, then welcome to the Kingdom of God! If you
have ANY questions, please feel free to email me.
Also, I recommend that you find yourself a Bible
believing and Bible following church. You really
should get baptized. It is something that all believers
should want to do. Keep in mind though, if you
already welcomed Christ into your life, you are saved.
Baptism won't save you by itself, but it is one of the signs that
is to follow those who believe.
Get yourself a Bible, and study the scriptures
yourself as well. That way you can be prepared and
understand if someone ever attempts to mislead you. Trust
God and His word. You will never be failed.
A further note for those who did not welcome
Christ into their life or are unsure of what they want to do.
I URGE you not to wait. Please make your decision soon.
One never knows when this life will end. It can end within
seconds or years, so please make sure you are ready.
Mark 16: 16 He that
believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth
not shall be damned.
John 3:36 He that
believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth
not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on
him.
John 5:24 Verily,
verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on
him [God] that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come
into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
